Our Story

Jenny and Michael Churches along with their two children, Andrew and Rachel, decided to diversify their dairy, sheep and beef farming business back in 2015 when they were severely affected by the floods. Being the sixth generation at the farm we wanted to guarantee the future for the next generation.

Our event venue and accommodation
Situated on the edge of the Somerset levels, the views are second to none, looking over towards the famous Glastonbury Tor and the Mendip Hills. They looked at all the assets they owned and realised the old pre-norman church next door to the farm, that they had purchased back in 2001 , had far more potential than merely the storage facility that it was being used for. After a lengthy planning application that took over three years, they finally got a civil wedding along with a premise license in the church.

This was a unique achievement, and by 2018 it was proving an attractive venue for those couples wishing to get married somewhere different and a perfect location for those just looking for an event or party location.

This was enormously popular and by the beginning of 2020, it was decided that accommodation was desperately needed on the site to accommodate the guests.
